Sherman Programs

GENERATE : Student Led Product Development Studio

Generate is a student-lead product development studio that provides real product development for real northeastern ventures. Our members are undergraduate and graduate students from every Northeastern University college and program. Clients can be undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and young alumni ventures.

As an extracurricular developmental opportunity for both members and clients, Generate focuses on individual growth.  Members can expect to volunteer up to 10 hours per week, and, in return, receive hands on product development experience with real client ventures.  Clients benefit from a team of developers focused on taking their product from A to B over the course of a semester, at no cost.

SHERMAN VENTURE CO-OP

The Sherman Venture Co-op provides Northeastern University founders the opportunity to develop their own venture over the course of a six-month period. The best part?  You’re paid while you do so.  The ideal co-op is a Northeastern University undergrad or graduate student who has identified a concept or technology to address a specific and well-characterized market need.

Success of the venture concept is not the goal of this co-op. Rather, the development of the entrepreneur (i.e. experiencing the good, bad and ugly of entrepreneurship) is our focus. The venture concept is merely a tool for that development. Special emphasis is placed on the professional development and mental/emotional health of the those we support.
