Our courses are designed for the technology-minded entrepreneur who seeks to understand disciplinary fundamentals, assess market needs, create technologies, and determine how to manufacture solutions sustainably and economically. Additionally, our instructors are real product professionals from industry.Â
If combined, our courses culminate in either an MS in Product Development or a minor in Entrepreneurial Engineering (see more info below). Note that Generate build studio members can take Generate as a minor course.
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN PRODUCT DEVELOMENT
The Master of Science (MS) in Product Development, offered through the Sherman Center for Engineering Entrepreneurship Education, is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled product engineers and managers. Product development is the key to the success of businesses and the technology sector continues to fuel the world economy. Leaders in many companies are the product managers and engineers as they guide product innovation and lead in crafting products for users.
The Sherman Center for Engineering Entrepreneurship Education is uniquely positioned to offer students a combination of product process and technical skills. The mission of the center is to enable interdisciplinary student entrepreneurship in the broadest sense by providing education about tools, concepts, and resources to foster creativity and the ability to develop commercially viable ideas.
